Thank you so much for your note Manny, it means a lot! It's wonderful to hear that you're making the decision that's right for you. Although I'm sure it feels daunting, it's kind of amazing how supportive those around you will be.

One thing I didn't mention in the post was about getting back into the tools. I don't know about you but I was kind of worried that I'd be rusty (which I was) or that newer tools would take a while to get used to (I was using Sketch before but now our team uses Figma). They all come back extremely quickly though and even getting up to speed on more modern design tools was surprisingly fast within even a few dedicated hours of exploration.
